Dubai Aquarium, one of the largest tanks in the world!

Dubai Aquarium, one of the largest tanks in the world!

The Mall’s Dubai Aquarium and Discovery Centre, developed and operated by Oceanis Australia Group, officially earned the Guinness World Record for the world’s “Largest Acrylic Panel” (32.88 m wide × 8.3 m high × 750 mm thick and weighing 245,614 kg). The acrylic viewing panel is larger than Japan’s Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium (22.5 m wide × 8.2 m high and 600 mm thick). Its 750 mm thick acrylic viewing panel can withstand pressure of 10 million litres of water used in the aquarium, but its transparency gives visitors clear views of over 33,000 marine animals on display.

Amazing Architecture of Abu Dhabi Mirage Hotel by KA3 Design Group

Abu Dhabi Mirage Hotel is located in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The main design idea of the hotel was to create an illusion of a dolphin couple swimming in a mirage, therefore the form of dolphins was applied as the mass motif. This luxury hotel architecture is mainly divided into three buildings, the residential hotel, the marina hotel, and the Berthage and marina club. As a reason for safety, the floating suites will be installed with an automatic system that will keep the suites within safe distance from the beach. The design of this amazing architectural project was made by Korean architect Changki Yun of the KA3 Design Group.

Stuttgart City Library

The city of Stuttgart, Germany has officially opened a marvelous new media center, the Stuttgart City Library.  This cavernous white wonder is unobtrusive in design, where the books and visitors provide the color to an otherwise neutral environment.  The visual center of the Stuttgart City Library is its grand atrium, a five-story open chamber that feels like the work of a modernist MC Esher.  The interior is bright without direct lighting, it is warm without paint color and intimate yet open.  This work by Yi Architects is a success in design, instantly one of the world’s most beautiful libraries.
